Spy Game
Certificate: Robert Redford, Brad Pitt, Catherine McCormack, Stephen Dillane
Length: 126 minutes Director: Tony Scott
Rating: CIA agent Tom Bishop (Pitt) sets out on a mission of his own to rescue an acquantaince from a Chinese prison, but things go wrong and he finds himself locked away in the same prison, with just 24 hours to go before his own execution. His CIA bosses are prepared to let him die, but his former mentor Nathan Muir (Redford) is not prepared to do nothing.

The story is told mostly through flashback through historic events such as the troubles in Beirut. This builds up an interesting insight into the life of a CIA agent, while at the same time telling the back story leading to current events. This tactic is engaging, and while the film never picks much of a pace, it still manages to captivate and draw you into the lives of Bishop and Muir.
